About The Tucson Botanical Gardens
Located on the site of the historic Porter property, Tucson Botanical Gardens (TBG) is a five and a half acre collection of 20 gardens in the heart of Tucson, Arizona.
A true urban oasis, Tucson Botanical Gardens was selected #4 in USA Today’s 10Best Botanical Gardens Readers’ Choice Awards in 2023 and 2024. 20 curated gardens including the Cactus & Succulent Garden, Nuestro Jardín (Barrio Garden), Children’s Discovery Garden, Herb Garden, and many more, showcase a diversity of plants both native and those you wouldn’t expect to see in the Sonoran Desert. Tropical butterflies from around the world are featured in the Cox Butterfly & Orchid Pavilion from October through May every year. The Great Garden Express is a model garden railway set in a Sky Island inspired landscape. G scale trains chug past Missions of the Southwest and National Park landmarks. The Gardens offers rotating art displays, community classes, events, and international exhibits. Dine in the shade of the mesquite trees at Edna’s Eatery, offering refreshments, breakfast, and lunch. Event services are also provided for groups, weddings, and social gatherings.
Tucson Botanical Gardens is located at 2150 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85712.
