Works by Eduardo Robledo Romero
Explore the connection between Mexican culture and the natural world with Eduardo Robledo Romero’s intricate linocut prints. Deeply influenced by the cultural traditions of his Mexico City neighborhood of Xochimilco, stories passed along by his grandfather, and his own personal experiences, Robledo weaves together Indigenous beliefs and modern perspectives to examine the spiritual power of plants, animals, and the continuous natural cycles of birth and death.
Eduardo Robledo Romero was born and raised in the Xochimilco borough of Mexico City, Mexico. He discovered printmaking as an undergraduate in Mexico City, where he was invited to take part in a printmaking workshop supporting Indigenous communities. Today, Robledo is co-founder of the Lugar de Huida gallery, a space dedicated to showcasing Mexican printmakers.
