Pressed Flower Framed Art Workshop

Create your own pressed flower barrel cactus using carefully hand-picked Arizona leaves and blooms in this immersive, limited-seating workshop experience. You’ll design a striking botanical artwork using layered pressed florals that capture the essence of the desert in a fresh, modern way.

All materials are included, featuring mint and seasonal blooms harvested from the instructor’s Arizona garden. Because everything is gathered in real time, blossoms will vary—making each finished piece completely one-of-a-kind. A curated selection of frames will be available so you can complete your work with a polished, display-ready finish.

This is a highly hands-on creative experience designed for small groups. Early sign-up is recommended as seating is limited and expected to fill quickly.

Deidra Spinks

Deidra Spinks (Dede) is a pressed flower artist inspired by the seasonal rhythms of the garden and the quiet beauty of plant life. What began as a happy accident has bloomed into a thoughtful creative practice, where seasonal botanicals—many grown and gathered from her own garden in Arizona—are arranged into compositions that feel both delicate and familiar, like something held onto from another time.

Alongside her art practice, she works full-time in real estate, guiding clients across Arizona through the process of buying and selling homes. She lives in Oracle, Arizona with her husband and three cats, where daily life is rooted in gardens, chickens, and the changing desert landscape that continually shapes her work.
