Garden Field Studies: a 4-part Series

Slow down your day and join this exploration of all things the Gardens has to offer as inspiration for your drawings of the natural world.
Field studies artwork will be created using graphite, watercolor, and pen and ink on watercolor paper.
Please supply your own art supplies. Recommended art supplies:
- Ruler
- Pencils, sharpener, or a mechanical pencil
- 8 pan watercolor set- Prang suggested
- 9 X 12” watercolor paper
- A magnifying glass may be helpful
- Water containers, paper towels

Cynthia Miller
Cynthia E. Miller has lived most of her life in the desert Southwest. Initially studying creative writing, then painting at the U of A, she left school to travel throughout Europe, moved to San Francisco in 1975, earning a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, followed by an MFA in Painting from the U of A in 1981.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
No refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events. We reserve the right to cancel Community Classes due to insufficient registration, garden closure, or inclement weather, in which case, participants will receive a full refund. People with disabilities should make requests for accommodation as early as possible to allow time to make appropriate arrangements.
