Walking with Kings
Vicky Stromee & Catherine Harold
Vicky Stromee and Catherine Harold return to the Gardens to share the teeming wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and haunting history of the world’s most remote island. The exhibition of more than 40 large-scale images is a photographic adventure documenting the journey of two photographers who set off to explore South Georgia Island and capture the stunning beauty of the wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and the heroic history of Ernest Shackleton’s expedition. Immerse yourself in captivating images of nesting King penguins, elephant seals, and albatross.
Take in rugged mountain peaks and giant icebergs, and learn how nature has rebounded and reclaimed abandoned whaling stations that nearly decimated whale populations.
