Postcards from the Garden – 9am to noon

Create your own postcards featuring succulents, quail, and more! We’ll take a whimsical approach, using patterns and designs to complement our desert subjects. Each participant will take home three complete postcards and basic knowledge of an ink medium. Presented by The Drawing Studio.

Saraiya Kanning

Saraiya Kanning is a visual artist and creative writer with a passion for plants, animals, and ecology. She works in a variety of mediums, including ink, watercolor, and silk painting. Some of her favorite projects include watercolor journaling in Rocky Mountain National Park and Canyon de Chelly, illustrating Sonoran Desert flora and fauna through silk painting, and silk painting mountain landscapes on scarves.
