When we observe the world around us with sketches and illustrations, we begin an intimate connection with what we experience. Learn drawing and watercolor painting techniques that will allow you to capture the beauty and amazing details of nature. This creative class will guide students of all skill levels to closely observe nature and in turn create beautiful illustrations inspired by plants and animals of the desert.

All online classes are recorded and participants receive a video replay that is available for two weeks after the date of the class.

Devon Meyer

As an artist, Devon is constantly inspired by nature. The elaborate patterns and gorgeous colors seen in a plants, birds or flowers are reflected in the work she does. Watercolor is her favorite medium but she also works in oil, charcoal, pen and ink and colored pencil.

Devon is an illustrator, artist, graphic designer & set designer.   She works in oil, watercolor,  & pen and ink. She has been aiming to paint a painting a day and collects these paintings on her blog at Devon calls the Sonoran Desert home where she lives with her husband, two children and crazy dog (along with some chickens!).
