Ferns: Ancient Survivors

Ferns evoke dark, misty forests that have a primordial quality.  Yet, they live in the desert, too.  In this class, we will explore the biology and diversity of ferns and fern allies, such as horsetails.  We will look at species inhabiting southern Arizona, as well as, those that occur elsewhere in North America.
