Drawing Birds

In Person Education Building Classroom These classes take place In-Person in the Education Building Classroom

$40 Non-Member / $32 Member

Learn to see birds in a new way! In this class, we’ll learn basic bird anatomy to help us draw some of southeast Arizona’s most iconic birds. A series of fun drawing exercises will guide participants through various drawing skills, including how to capture motion and a likeness.

Art materials provided by TBG.

Saraiya Kanning

Saraiya Kanning is a Tucson artist with a passion for animal subjects. She works across multiple mediums, including ink, watercolor, and silk painting. Saraiya’s art is often characterized by bold, vibrant colors and stylized mark-making. When teaching, she seeks to make art enjoyable and accessible to all. 

Refund & Cancellation Policy

No refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events. We reserve the right to cancel Community Classes due to insufficient registration, garden closure, or inclement weather, in which case, participants will receive a full refund. People with disabilities should make requests for accommodation as early as possible to allow time to make appropriate arrangements.
